Societi Quiz Night

Are you a budding Bamber, quiz master extraordinaire.   Quizzes are a timeless classic that can unite people of all ages in some friendly rivalry.

How do I get started?

Pick a date and venue that works well for you and your guests. It is helpful to make sure it doesn’t clash with other local events or quizzes.  Some venues will give you a charity rate for room hire or others like pubs could give you a space for free. Use our downloadable poster to advertise your quiz night at local clubs, pubs, shops etc – just click the download button below.  Social media is also a great way to spread the word.

Think about your questions and any themes you might want to use.  You might have a music round – guess the introduction, a film round or a picture round, you might even want to have anagrams, or a word smash as featured on the House of Games – teams are given a category and a picture relating to that category. Below the picture is a general knowledge question. The players have to “smash” the answers together to create one answer often with amusing results.

You will need to consider how you are going to score the answers and make sure you have a tiebreaker ready just in case.

You will need some prizes – is there anyone locally that would like to donate as it is all for a good cause!

Each team should be charged a set fee for entry which can then be donated to Societi to help get Kawasaki Disease known.  You may also want to have food and drink available, again for a donation or you could run a raffle or other fund boosting activity.  You can Collect cash and/or set up a JustGiving page so your guests can donate online. You can also create and print off a QR code for your JustGiving page so guests are able to access the page on their phones. Visit JustGiving for more information on how to do this.

Remember: You don’t have to do this in person you can always do a virtual quiz night but if in person don’t forget the pens!
