On International Kawasaki Disease Awareness Day, Societi Foundation calls for awareness and action to combat this, the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children.

A shocking 39% of infants (babies under one) affected by Kawasaki Disease had serious heart damage – and up to 20% of all children developed coronary artery aneurysms. These children now need specialist care – for life.

Today – International Kawasaki Disease Awareness Day – sees the start of a campaign for every
doctor and every parent in the UK to know the symptoms of Kawasaki Disease, the leading cause of
acquired heart disease in children. Societi, The UK Foundation for Kawasaki Disease is stepping up efforts to grow awareness and encourage urgent action when treating this increasingly common, serious disease.

We’re always looking for exciting new ways to raise Kawasaki Disease awareness at Societi and we came up with idea to develop a luxury handwash. Working together with two fabulous firms we’ve been able to make this project a reality. Find out more here….
